Five Ft. Three

Abortion is not a religious issue for me

on August 8, 2010

People like to turn the debate about abortion into a theological or a metaphysical discussion, it really isn’t about that. It is an issue of rights, specifically the right to life. Now my rights end where yours begin, and the same holds true for a mother and unborn child. One might argue that the mother has the right to not be pregnant, however, there is a greater right, that of the child’s right to life that I think should take precedence here, and really how can you not think that way? I think the pro-abortion people try to sway the discussion into other areas to get away from what is really going on, which is the end of a life not given the same rights as we all have been given and enjoy.
